Over the last few weeks we’ve been working to get the course in shape, cutting fairways, rough, semi rough, greens and tees. We have also vertidrained the greens to a depth of 6 inches and we’ve repaired any bare patches. Unfortunately there has been minor vandalism to areas and we’ve also seen an increase in the amount of dog fouling on the course. The weather has been great to us and has meant the need for watering, as you can see opposite. Take care everyone and stay safe.

Wasnt’t sure whether to post this or not but just to wet your appetite for when you return. The team has been working on the essential stuff like cutting tees, greens and fairways and I have to say the course is looking fantastic. Here’s hoping all members get to enjoy it as soon as possible.
Take care and stay safe everyone

Wow, things have moved fast!! The course and clubhouse are both now closed and everyone is on lockdown. The Greens Team are still allowed to carry out essential maintenance on the course and as such we will be working in reduced numbers over the coming weeks to try and keep the course in the best shape possible. This will allow us to open back up and get you back playing golf as quickly as possible when we are allowed to do so.
Today we have removed all markers, flags and hole cups from the course. The holes have also been filled in as you can see opposite.
Take care everyone and stay safe.

Finally the weather appears to have given us a break whilst everything else around us is changing like never before. The team have had a hectic start to the week by cutting approaches and greens. We are currently topdressing the greens and tidying them up by brushing and using the blowers and all should be complete by tomorrow afternoon. We have also started to cut the fairways and treat the walk off areas. Later in the week we will move onto cutting the semi rough and generally trying to get the course back into shape after a really difficult couple of months………………..well that’s the plan anyway!!!!
Can I remind all members and guests that they must follow the social distancing guidelines issued by the club and government. We have witnessed a number of people not adhering to these rules and I ask you to consider your actions, not just for the safety of yourselves but for the safety of my team and the wider membership. At all times you must keep an adequate distance apart from each other, easy way is to keep a flagstick apart from each other as you play your golf.
Take care everyone.

Well what a winter we have had! We have had record rainfall from the end of last season until now and this has had an impact on the work we had planned to carry out on the course. Due to the saturated conditions we have been unable to get any heavy machinery onto the course to carry out any major work and as the forecast is still “unsettled” to say the least our efforts over the coming weeks will be try and get the course as ready as possible for the new season. Heaven knows what impact the Coronavirus will present us but we will attempt to deal with this as and when it hits.
Before the really bad and wet weather hit we carried out some required tree felling and trimming to the left of the 8th green and to the left of the 16th fairway. Many of you may not have seen this so far.
As for the coming season, we have a plan this year to keep the rough at a shorter level, this should speed up play and help the course to move better, hopefully you will notice the difference.
